Prosperity Gospel

Now, many are going to be offended by what I am going to say but this message has been stirring in my mind for quite some time now and indeed I must tell the truth. There is a gospel which is really no gospel at that is being preached a lot to the masses. Preachers all around the world are getting paid to preach this fine mirage that tickles the ears of the lukewarm congregation that never does anything for the kingdom of God. They wouldn't, of course, because they don't worship Jesus, they worship Mammon. They bow down low to…

Last Message of the Year

So we have come to the end of 2018, the end of yet another year. To some this year was quite long, to some, it just swept past like lightning. I actually grew quite a lot this year. Strange enough, this was one of my best years. I actually saw God change a desert into a river in my life. I was unemployed for seven months. I didn't even have a drivers licence. As I write this, I have a job that I am happy with and I'm driving. I have time now and then to write these blog posts to…

Doxology

A form of liturgy, doxology is a set of hymns that must be sung by the congregation as this is required by God. Liturgy comes from the Greek word 'leitourgia' which means "the work of the people". Doxology, on the other hand derives from old Jewish traditions. Hence that concludes that doxology is a works doctrine as opposed to grace. Liturgy came into the Church through John Calvin, one of the reformers who brought the Calvinism heresy. What's wrong with Liturgy? It's religion, not relationship. It's just a bunch of actions that must be repeated. Hence, the heart is not in it…

Tithing

Truth Series Part 7 With the number of sermons that we have on tithing, it is pointless to prove this by scripture. Hands down, the Bible says that 10% of your earnings must be given to God. What I want to get across here is my perception of tithing. My view on it. I am not infallible but I believe that the Bible is. So if you disagree, that's fine, but I can tell you now, most of the people who will disagree with me are probably pastors! In the book of Acts, or in the entire New Testament for that…

Karma

Truth Series Part 6 Karma (/ˈkɑːrmə/; Sanskrit: कर्म, translit. karma, IPA: [ˈkərmə] ( listen); Pali: kamma) means action, work or deed; it also refers to the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect). Karma means 'action' in the Sanskrit language, the origin of the Hinduism religion of today. It practically means that 'whatever goes around comes around'. But is Karma right? Is it true? Let's think about this... The logical Jab If there were two people and God decided to share a loaf of bread between them,…

Arminianism

Truth Series Part 5 So if we look at the complete opposite of Calvinism, we see a few flaws at this doctrine. Jacobus Arminius spoke against John Calvin's theology which was quite risky at the time. However, his doctrine broke through the barriers of peoples minds causing a rift in the church. Basically, Arminianism states that you do have a choice. A choice to choose Christ as opposed to Calvinism that states that no matter what you do, you are either chosen or not. Here are the flaws of Arminianism: It's works orientated. Everything is about the works you perform, if…
