Babylon Rising

Now I know that the Bible says that Babylon is fallen in Revelations 18. Revelation 18:1-3 After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor. With a mighty voice he shouted: “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’ She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal. For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants…

Should Women Wear Pants?

I have recently been added to a group chat on Facebook and they have been posting warnings about women who wear trousers, claiming that any women who wore trousers will go to hell. Intrigued by the comments, I asked them where does it say this in the Bible? Someone commented with a scripture, Deuteronomy 22:5 which says the following: There shall not be an article (keli) of a man upon a woman, and a man shall not put on a wrapper of (simlat) a woman, because everyone doing (who does) these (things) is an abomination of (unto) the Lord your God.…

Book Review #3: Christian Sex Ed

We live in a time where churches do not preach about sex. Young people are not being taught about a biblical way of relationships which causes young Christians to end up broken and with sexual addictions. Dane Fragger, the author of Christian Sex Ed has researched much of the statistics of sexual addictions such as masturbation and pornography. Now when we think about these taboo acts, we mostly think of perverted men. Truth is, women are also in chains with these demonic addictions. 85% of Christians are addicted to pornography according to statistical research done by Dane Fragger. Now the church…

Walls

In the figurative sense, everyone is building walls in their lives. They are also pulling down some of them. To live as a Christian, we need to make sure that we are building the right walls and that we destroying the walls that are supposed to be destroyed. If you have no idea what you are doing in your life, chances are, you are destroying your own fortresses while giving a helping hand to your enemy's territory. That's one of the worst things you can do to yourself. In Joshua 6, the Israelites had to conquer Jericho. In doing so, they…

Frightful Pandemic or Fulfilled Prophecy?

Church has been cancelled in South Africa after the President declared a National State of Disaster that banned any gathering that includes a 100 people or more. Churches have gone online with live streams in order to 'cater for their congregation's spiritual needs'. The death toll is sitting at more than 11000 as I write this with 284,805 cases worldwide. 93000 have recovered. Many have panicked, resorting to stockpiling in preparation for quarantine or self-isolation. People fighting over toilet paper while others are involved in some TikTok challenge that allows the user to contract any means possible. Some have licked toilet…

Pastors & Wolves

Ever since I could remember, pastors have been held in high prestige. Nobody really knows why. Do they? We all assume that since he is dressed in a dignified and religious way, respect is due to him. A pastor is defined by what church he belongs to or what clothes he wears. However, we live in a time where if a pastor drives a Mercedes, wears expensive suits, lives in a mansion and travels all over the world, such a pastor was successful and would be extremely close to God. The problem is, you can't use materialistic wealth to be an…

Trip to Port Edward

I always wanted to go down to the South Coast of South Africa. I decided to plan a trip to somewhere far down like Port Elizabeth. After discovering that it was an 8-11 hour drive, I settled to book @ The Lighthouse Inn situated at the Black Rock in Port Edward. We selected seven days of stay, from the 21st to the 28th of December. We left Saturday morning at 10am.  It was only a 2-hour drive that ran alongside the pristine beach shores, over bridges that crossed scenic rivers and estuaries. I arrived at our destination, Black Rock, which is…

Price Tag

Let's look at two scriptures in the Bible: Genesis 37:28 So when the Midianite traders passed by, his brothers pulled Joseph out of the pit and sold him for twenty shekels of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took him to Egypt. Matthew 26:14 Then one of the twelve, named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15 and said, “What are you willing to give me to betray Him to you?” And they weighed out thirty pieces of silver to him. In these two scriptures, we find two profound individuals practically sold for silver by people that they not only trusted but were most accompanied…

Christianity and Ancestral Worship

Since heritage day is coming up, I would like to deal with the question that seems to rise up is: Can a Christian serve Christ and still worship their forefathers? What I have found is that this brings up an ultimatum. It is either Jesus or your ancestors. You can't worship both. You may ask why? Let's read the Bible... Deuteronomy 18:10-11 10“There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11or one who casts…

The True Gospel

Previously, I have written warnings on this blog about false gospels that have infiltrated churches. But what is the true Gospel? People don't have a clue! So I have taken the liberty to let everyone know. You might not like it but you have to know it. Christians do not know the depravity of a soul caused by sin. When sin entered the world, death reigned. Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life. Sin is the reason why God and His people were separated, Romans 3:23 For all have fallen short of…
