The Secret To Happiness

Did you know that for every 40 seconds that passes by, someone has committed suicide? In that same 40 seconds, 20 people have attempted it. This means that in the past 24 hours, 2160 people have died because they wanted to. What does that say about the state of minds people are in? Something happened in their minds to make that decision. Something went wrong. Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace     those whose minds are steadfast,     because they trust in you. If we keep our trust in Christ, we will have peace of mind. Our state of mind depends…

Calvinism #2

In the previous article of Calvinism, I literally tore it apart with logic and scripture. It set some people free but some stubborn Calvinists still don't get the picture. They are worshipping manmade doctrine. Some of these Calvinists worship their leaders. John Macarthur stated that John Calvin is his hero. Really? These Calvinists are so blinded that they will believe any preacher who is a Calvinist. They don't read the Bible for themselves. Their interpretation is what others think and not the truth that the Holy Spirit reveals. Oh wait! They don't believe that Holy Spirit works today because they are cessationist!…

Young and Saved: Living in a world that's not like you - Dane Fragger After seeing the advertisement of this book for so long, I just could not take it any longer. I had to get this book! The title captured my attention every time I saw it. Dane Fragger has really walked boldly into the dark shadows of the grey areas of Christianity. He doesn't waste time spinning around the bush but deals with the problem at hand. What the church is failing to let the young people know, Dane spreads it out in broad daylight in this book. If…

The Trampled Gospel

Hebrews 10:26-29  26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of…

Prosperity Gospel

Now, many are going to be offended by what I am going to say but this message has been stirring in my mind for quite some time now and indeed I must tell the truth. There is a gospel which is really no gospel at that is being preached a lot to the masses. Preachers all around the world are getting paid to preach this fine mirage that tickles the ears of the lukewarm congregation that never does anything for the kingdom of God. They wouldn't, of course, because they don't worship Jesus, they worship Mammon. They bow down low to…

Last Message of the Year

So we have come to the end of 2018, the end of yet another year. To some this year was quite long, to some, it just swept past like lightning. I actually grew quite a lot this year. Strange enough, this was one of my best years. I actually saw God change a desert into a river in my life. I was unemployed for seven months. I didn't even have a drivers licence. As I write this, I have a job that I am happy with and I'm driving. I have time now and then to write these blog posts to…

Doxology

A form of liturgy, doxology is a set of hymns that must be sung by the congregation as this is required by God. Liturgy comes from the Greek word 'leitourgia' which means "the work of the people". Doxology, on the other hand derives from old Jewish traditions. Hence that concludes that doxology is a works doctrine as opposed to grace. Liturgy came into the Church through John Calvin, one of the reformers who brought the Calvinism heresy. What's wrong with Liturgy? It's religion, not relationship. It's just a bunch of actions that must be repeated. Hence, the heart is not in it…

Tithing

Truth Series Part 7 With the number of sermons that we have on tithing, it is pointless to prove this by scripture. Hands down, the Bible says that 10% of your earnings must be given to God. What I want to get across here is my perception of tithing. My view on it. I am not infallible but I believe that the Bible is. So if you disagree, that's fine, but I can tell you now, most of the people who will disagree with me are probably pastors! In the book of Acts, or in the entire New Testament for that…

Young Hearts

After much planning at our youth group, we had collected as many toiletries as possible. On Saturday, the 29th of October, all 15 of us arrived at Malvern Children's Home with what we had to offer. As soon as we entered the hall, we began to unpack the things we had brought while the children were called in. What we didn't know was that 137 children would enter the hall creating the greatest cacophony ever possible. Excitement filled the room as the atmosphere of expectation grew. As the chaos began to escalate, our youth leader, Theo Msomi, began to speak and all…
